What is the turn around time for the radio mod?

Does the addition of the rear Aux disable the front input?

Do the NIM & iPod interface wire into the same pins on the radio plug? If so, does this cause any conflicts?

I am curious about the integration of GPS + XM weather & traffic, and if they all play well together. Please post a review of your experiences with the unit.

Thanks for your time & sharing your installation
I can answer a few of your questions. The rest I will work on and post when I have the answer.

1. The turnaround was very fast. They had my stereo done the day they received it and I had it back 9 days after I mailed it. Great service and communication from Iron Cross Audio.

2. I can't answer whether the front plug is disabled. You can email Iron Cross and I am sure they will get right back to you. Someone else posted that it will still work although you can't use both the front and back at the same time. I won't be using the front at all because everything works from the back.

3. The iIM and the NIM work on the same loom. They are made to work together and the instructions cover it very well.

4. I haven't had a chance to get the XM up and working. I plan on doing it next week and give it a test. Everything should work together XM, MP3, iPod, AM, FM, CD, Weather, Traffic, Navigation. What's left?????

So far, everything is working well but I haven't tested it completely. All I've used so far is the iPod which works perfectly.

I'll post on this thread next week.

I have the 550 and since you have had that model is there any thing I need to watch on the install, I mean any problems? I do not want to do any thing to the dash but I think that would be best for me to see it ( I have the Ultra EG ) . It is a great unit, did you install it directly into the hot lead or connect on the Accesor. on the dash ? You did a GREAT JOB on your install.

I'm using the ACC switch for my Kuryakyn running lights so I hooked the hot lead to the lighter inside the fairing. The hot wire lead from the Zumo has a built-in fuse to protect it. On my 07, I used the ACC switch for the Zumo and hooked into the pigtail under the seat. Just ran the power lead down the top of the tank under the dash.

Here is a thread for my 550 install

550 INSTALL

If you're not installing the XM antenna, you can even avoid pulling the fairing off. I installed the antenna under the fairing on top of the stereo with silicone sealer to hold it on.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

Hope this helps.

Steve
