Just got done installing my new HD Road Tech ZUMO 665. Mounted it on a Kuryakyn fuel door mount and ran the wires through the fuel door so they are hidden. Installed a HS Navigation Interface Module (NIM) and had a rear AUX connector installed in my stereo by Iron Cross Audio.
The result in a "wireless" install with no visible wires. Here are some pictures.
Got any questions??

Wow! Super clean look. Thanks for posting. Your photos really illustrate go large the 660/665 GPS is. At that size, the gas cap is really the best place for it.
Is the GPS head unit is easily detached?
Did the Zumo mount directly to the fuel door mount piece or did you use the Kury universal gadget holder?
When you open the fuel door, does the GPS hit the tank?

1. It is almost too easy to detach. Unlike the 550, there is no retention screw. This unit MUST me removed every time I park. I keep the hard case in my saddlebag and I lock it up.
2. I mounted the ZUMO mount right to the Kury mount. I did have to buy 4 plastic spacers at Ace so I could have space to run the wire behind it.
3. No, it does not hit the tank and I don't have to loosen the pivot bolt on the Kury mount.
I worked hard to have "clean" bars with no wires. That's why I didn't want to mount it there. Mounting it on the fairing is too far away IMO for a Road Glide. Some people don't like to look down to see the ZUMO but I'm used to it. I have my 550 mounted there on my 07 RG. For me, it just works the best.
I am considering a similar install on my '07 UC & had a few questions, if you don't mind:
What is the turn around time for the radio mod?
Does the addition of the rear Aux disable the front input?
Do the NIM & iPod interface wire into the same pins on the radio plug? If so, does this cause any conflicts?
I am curious about the integration of GPS + XM weather & traffic, and if they all play well together. Please post a review of your experiences with the unit.
