Good old Garmin 760 works for me. When it dies someday, I'll probably go with a Zumo.

YES!!!

I have the Garmin 330 and a mount for it. gpscentral.com has all kinds of mounts. Mine is the ball on the handlebar like the previous poster has shown.... in the attached photo the mount is standing straight up but i usually have it swiveled so it is lower, below the base of the windshield ... more nestled into the shelter of the fairing.

I plan to use my Nuvi 350 and have a mount on order. Can't see spending more coin when I have a GPS that works. I figure it is not something I will use all the time and if it rains it will go into the saddle bag or get a plastic sandwich bag put over it if I really need it to get where I am going.

Ram Mount has to have something to take care of that. They have a mount for just about everything you can think of.

I use a c340 and it works great. Mounted with a short ram mount to the handlebar and it tucks in nice behind the batwing. Get a motorola cell phone charger with the small usb connection and you can keep it charged on the bike using the 12v outlet. You should be able to find one around $100 online. If you are not going to use it in the car the 330 is just as good also and probably a bit cheaper.

Default Garmin V

I have an older Garmin V.
It doesn't have that fancy color screen, but works well.
It's water proof and works with software so you can plan routes.

I have had it for 7 years and still works.

I have the Garmin C580 that I can move from the Ultra to the Fat Boy quite easily. Use Ram Mounts on both. The 580 has the MSN Direct traffic feature built into the power cord, and that's a life saver here in Atlanta! The list on this 'discontinued' GPS was $590, and I lucked up onto one NIB on ebay for $140.

Because the 580 isn't designed to be 'sun-friendly', I made a hood for it out of the plastic from a skool folder and some sticky back Velcro. Works like a champ to cut down the glare. You can buy premade hoods for about $15, but this took 20 minutes to make and cost $1.99.

I've been riding with my older 660 Garmin, mounted to the fuel door (supplied suction cup), with absolutely no issues. I just keep it out of heavy rain. Although it already survived one good downpour so far!
Make sure you have a secondary tether of some sort - just in case something lets go.
