A favor from someone with HD Saddlebag Extension Kit?
Gentlemen (and ladies),
I was hoping I could ask a favor from someone who installed Harley's Saddlebag Extension Kit (P/N 90999-09).
How much of the original bag does the lip of the entensions cover? I can't quite tell from the pictures how high up it comes.
I'm just trying to decide if the extensions will cover a little gouge I have on the side near the bottom of my bags. I'm trying to convinice myself that I could get away with just slapping these on instead of trying to fix the problem or springing for the complete extended bottoms. Problem area is right behind the lower part of the rail in the picture below (you can't see it from this angle; exact same spot on both bags). It's one of those things that no one but me would probably notice, but it drives me nuts. You guys know what I'm talking about.

I have the tapered extensions, however the straight is the same dimension from the back forward... the measurement I came up with is.. the bag extension is 5" measured at the back, from the bottom of the bag to the bottom of the extension is 2 3/4"....leaving a lap over the bag of 2 1/4".

It's all yours man! Just park the boat in my neighbor's yard. He never mows, so I doubt he'll even notice.
