I'm doing a pre-winter maintenance and I'm having trouble getting grease to go in the zerk fitting. I am using a new gun . Does HD take a special adapter? It wouldn't surprise me if they do. I never had trouble before I got this new gun .
IMO, the Lincoln guns are the best...have quite a few of those and others, for greasing equipment, and my preference is Lincoln...cost a little more, but sometimes you can find deals on ebay...and there are different models of lincoln...i like the 1134
You need a right angle grease adapter. My service manager took me into the shop to show me the tool and how it's used. Snapon.com part # THX418, about $11.00 delivered.

Thanks for the part # and yes the Lincoln guns look #1 too me. I'm thinking that I'll have to end up with a different gun anyway. I'm not having trouble getting the adapter to go on the zerk , it just isn't letting the grease flow to the bearing. Cheap gun I'm afraid. I might try the Snap On fitting if that is all it costs. A truck stops at our shop once a week so I'll check with him. Thanks
watch how much grease you use. If you do it according to the manual, when it gets hot out you'll have grease at the bottom of your triple tree and it will start running down your left fork. If you can your better off hand packing them.
