While researching tuners, I've come up with different answers to break in mileage from different sources.
The recommended or preferred tuners say mileage isn't important. You can break in a bike on the dyno.
Others, like dealers, say 1000-1500 miles.
Right now, I have 700 mi. on my RKC and I've been told I'm good to go.
my dealer said 1,000 miles but my bike runs so good now after stage 2 with 103 build and SE super tuner that i really do not see the need for a dyno. Why spend 350 dollars and give someone a chance to screw it up.
Had mine broke in on the dyno right out of the box with a 103 build done. Done by the dealer. Guess it depends on who you talk to. Sounds like your right in between the consensus.
my 103 upgrade was broke in on the dyno(approx 400 miles) then given to me rev limited at 4000rpm. Told to put another 600 miles on it then change oil and return for final tune. kept it a little longer than that(1600miles) at the shop now, should have it back in a few days.
