Alright, this is just to answer a long debated question and separate the paranoid from the facts. Who has ever, personally, had something stolen off there bikes. Not heard of somebody stealing something, not had a friend of friend who had something stolen, HAS HAD SOMETHING STOLEN OFF YOUR PERSONAL BIKE?
Sorry for the typo in the poll, it is late! It should read "who has had an item taken from there bike (doesn't include somebody stealing the entire bike)?"

May have had someone playing around with my saddle or more likely just the screw came out, but nothing ever taken. I am careful where I park, always lock the fork and if on the road, overnight, I always cover and chain it up. Been lucky over the last 20 plus years.
The only thing I had stolen was my 03 Dodge Quad Cab 4x4 2500 with a Cummins Diesel. Only 84k miles on that truck. It was stolen right out of my driveway. Now it is likely running drugs and illegals across the border.
Never a problem (knock on wood). The bike is locked in the garage or I'm riding it about 90% of the time. The other 10% is when it's parked within eyesight.
So far so good. But I am paranoid so I lock everything up. I don't even leave my helmet on the bike. I lock the helmet in the tour pak else I take it with me.
I seldom worry about my bike getting stolen, but I do get concerned with getting important items stolen off the bike. Such as the seat, saddlebags and back rest/luggage rack. When I am on a trip far from home, losing any of these things would be an extreme inconvenience. Pretty hard to load your gear with no bags or rack or ride very far with no seat. Because of this I use the Brukus saddlebag and seat bolts and the H-D lock for the back rest mount.
The way I look at it, if they want to steal something take the whole damn bike. I have insurance and would be able to buy a new one (or pretty close) with the payout.
Right side antenna missing, a set of US & POW flags broke off (& left on Lowes parking lot behind the bike), passenger pegs disappeared at a bike night rally.
