Ha! I was and am happy. But I just wanted him to take the picture. I was thinking, "Come on, dude, take it already so I can ride. We're burning daylight here."

Put 275 miles on it already, and I know I'm going to have to get the larger windscreen. The buffeting at 60-70 mph is tolerable but not enjoyable. I do wear a ff helmet, and I've heard that adds to the problem.

Anyway, thanks, all.

You and one or two others mentioned those. Out of literally hundreds of people who mentioned new windshields, I find it a little odd that not more people mentioned the wind deflectors.

I think they are fairly new and I suppose being they are so cheap people probably do not think they will work. all I know is they work for me.

handlebars, seats and exhaust are the things that everybody change... I don't even consider any of those things when I'm looking at a new bike..
if by some chance any of those things work for me, great... but in my past experience, I know for a fact that I'm changing all of them as soon as the bike gets home.

I had the seat, handlebars and windshield for my FLTRX before I got the bike!
The new exhaust was on it a week later. LOL!

I've installed a few options, such as the Cyclesmith 14" bars, floorboard extensions, and rear light module (turn signals are red, and on all the time).

Several questions I'd like to throw out, since I've come to learn the advice via this forum is invaluable:

1. I am using the stock EGC seat with adjustable backrest (I had the L5-S1 vertebrae fused when I was in the military). Is the Road Glide as comfortable as the EGC? Will I need a backrest on the Road Glide?

2. Will the floorboard extensions (courtesy of Harley Goodies. a terrific company) from my EGC work on the Road Glide? Will they even be necessary?

Any other constructive advice or comments are appreciated.
That's not a good price for your Classic!!

I had the L5-S1 fused a few years ago while I was still in the Air Force.

Take it easy, and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
