Does the quick change tour pack sit higher on the bike then when using the stock mounting system?
Also, since the quick change is just that, and the tour pack can be removed in seconds, has there been numerous incidents of theft regarding the tour pack with quick change system?
When touring I pop it off and bring it to the room. HD sells locks, but I never leave it anywhere I would feel safe using just those things. It literally pops off in seconds and is easy to cart to your motel room. Like most say, if they want it they'll get it anyways.
Quick release for you is quick release for them. I have quick release but never had issue of being stolen and never heard of them being lifted either.
But I try and park where I can see her and if I'm staying over night and I get bad vibe it goes in the room with me. To me it doesn't sit any higher if so I can't be much to make a difference.
