The 2 up Sundowner seemed to move me a little bit back towards the passenger maybe a half inch or so. Just enough to notice. Also, seems like I sit about an half to an inch higher (above shield) then on the stock. The seat seems to be more soft/squishy then the stock seat and about an inch wider thus making the difference over longer rides.
Sundowner on 07 FLHRC. I'm pleased but I still get a sore butt after 150 mi. or so. Stop for gas and I'm ready for another 150. I'm kinda skinny, not much natural padding maybe. My wife loves the Sundowner (don't mean to make a comment on her natural padding). Must say, I am baffled by claims of lower back support. How does 1-2 inches of added height in back provide that?
I thought the same thing untill I rode all day and didn't get sore in the least. Even my wife rides all day on the back and that's a miracle. Stock seat on the SG and 75 miles was tops for her before the complaints started to roll in. I really love this seat and think you will to after a nice long ride. Won't be putting on the stock seat any time soon

Had the same experience. Expected an "easy chair" feel.
But after a long day of riding I felt great, and my wife said the passenger seat was great.
I rode about 50 miles last night and 30 this morning. I guess I'm still up in the air as to whether it's better or not? It doesn't have any more back support than stock but it does put you back about 1/2 inch. I don't think I sit any lower than stock? I can't touch the ground as good either. The seat is wider. I do like the look of it better than the stock seat, mainly the passenger area because it is thinner and I don't use my tour pack much. I think the biggest thing right now is I have my stock seat broke in. I do remember the stock seat feeling like a park bench compared to the 2000 E Glide I had with a pillow top. I'm gonna hang on to it and break it in. I do feel some benefits to the wider driver seat area. Time will tell I guess. I can always get my money out of it because I get a 20% discount so it cost me $240 plus tax. It will bring that used on ebay if I sell it. BTW I'm 5'10 and 190 pounds with a 30 inseam.
I have a question for those of you that have put the Sundowner seat on an Electra Glide(standard, classic, or utra classic). Did you have to have the filler piece for the gap between the seat and the tank console ? I've looked at the Harley catalog for my bike (2006 FLHT/I) and they don't have the Sundowner listed for my specific bike. I tried one a fellow was wanting to trade for my Badlander seat (plus $100.00 boot) and there was a gap between the seat and the gas tank console.
Thanks,
