I have noticed in the classified section that a lot of Sundowner seats have been for sale lately. I sat on one a couple months ago and have given thought to buying one, because it was quite comfortable. Why all the sales? How does it sit you on the bike? I want to go a little lower. I am 5'8" on a 2010 UC, I can flat foot, but just don't have the "bite" on the ground I would like to have. Thanks in advance.
The Sundowner is an excellent touring seat for your bike, solo or 2-up. It will set the rider just a little lower and maybe a little close to the bars.
I think you see alot of these seats for sale because people dont sell them with their bikes. Another reason could be they dont look real "slick" on the Street Glide/Road Glide Custom. I think some dudes are looking for good looks and comfort too. But, its hard to beat the Sundownder for touring comfort and price. There are really some great deals on them in the classified section here.

Yeah, I was a little slow to the fight on some of the most recent ones. It is much easier to buy accessories when they are pushing 50% off normal price.
I'm one of the people you are referring to. I recently bought a Sundowner for my RKC and was going to send it to MCC to have it "plushed up". Then one came available just a few days ago that was already done by MCC, so I bought it and sold the other. They are a nice seat and have a very deep bucket for your azz. The passenger seat is even wider than my Mustang I just sold, so momma should be happier too. I'm in the same boat as you, as far as height, and they do give you the little extra you need. The one I just bought has been narrowed even more in the front for even better footing. MCC says they are a good platform for mod's.
Johnny, thanks for the info. How was the MCC modification? What was done to the seat you have now? I have looked at their site and it sounds like a great deal.

Right now, I have no seat on the bike. I'll let you know when I get it. The forum member I bought it from told me it's very comfortable. He had the memory foam mod, and had the front foam trimmed for better footing. Exactly what I was going to do.
