Whats an RKC??? Do you mean Classic, or Custom? Try using FLHRCI or FLHRSI, or spell it out for less confusion.

FYI, I put the Cusom beach bars on my Classic. I like them much better than the stock Classic bars. I am short, so I need the reach.

I changed over to a set of Heritage bars. Made a huge difference in the comfort for me.

Yankee Bob, I use RKC for Road King Classic. It's in my sig so I assumed people would see that.
I'll go with RK Classic in the future though.

I'm 6'2". I've had White Brothers beach bars on my RKC for the past 62k. I really like them.

With them or nearly any wider bar, you do not have to change the throttle cables. You can just route them outside the nacelle and let them hang free. The cables will last longer doing this, also, because you take them out of that sharp bend that the factory places them in when they run them thru the nacelle and along the frame neck. You will have to add about 10 inches or so of wire into the wiring harness. You will need to get new brake lines. Oh yeah, I forgot. You can use your stock clutch cable as well. Just route it between the front jug and frame instead of in front of the frame as it came from the factory. You can gain several inches of play.

I went with the Wild1 Chubby W0508. I love them. They have internal wiring and brought my hands back 3 inches (I think). That allowed me to sit back against my backrest and I am able to ride all day (I've done 700 mile days in the rain with no problems) with good comfort. One thing to keep in mind is they did require re-cabling, so figure that into your pricing.

Here's some pictures that may help you. Good luck with your decision.

You can put 508's on without buying new throttle and clutch cables if you re-route them.
