Alright, opinion time.
By looking at my sig pic, what should I go with if I change my bars to apes? 14" or 16" Monkey bars? I'm just looking for opinions here.
Also, what is a good place to buy them?

Is it even comfortable to ride like that for a hundred or so miles?
Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't ask you if it was alright to put them on MY bike. But then, I didn't see your check paying for them either. So, get over it. If you don't like them on our bikes, then don't look at them.

I've actually seen a few V-rods with apes on them. Look silly for what is effectively a sport bike frame.

But most of what I see (and put on) are 10 and 12". Those aren't really apes. The 10's definitely aren't. I've seen debate on if 12's are considered officially apes, or if it's "more than 12" to count.

And yes, my 10's are VERY comfortable.
In fact, I found the stock bars a bit UNcomfortable....as well as the stock Fat Boy bars (which I've been sitting on and riding today, as the wife decided that's what she's getting).
I don't leaning DOWN to the grips. Leaning forward, like the Street Slammer bars were on my Softail are ok, but they are still at shoulder height for me, or just under.

Grips positioned at elbow height or even lower make me feel like I'm on a sport bike & leaning down on the tank, putting my weight on my hands.
I know I'm not, but that's how it feels...and thus, uncomfortable.

But 10 and 12 inch bars are perfect with a stock SG seat. My 10's put my hands right at my shoulder height, which I love.

i had terrible muscle cramps in my rhomboids with the stock handlebars on my RK.
Adding APES to my bike put my hands and shoulders in much more comfortable position.
