It could be as simple as loosening the screws for the switch housing and brake bracket and gentle sliding it towards the end of the bars 1/32" or so and retighten. I had a similar issue when I changed the grips. The TBW grips need a little play in them as the TBW return spring is not that strong. Since the bike only has 200 miles on it you should not have any problems getting the dealer to take care of this if you don't want to mess with it.

Well, I had this problem and took it to the dealer because I have a warrenty. 10 minutes later and $35 bucks, they loosen the screws on he housing, sprayed a little lube in it and it works great. OH THE $35? They said normal adjustments aren't covered under the warranty. Yes, I am still mad.

Sounds like that dealer really sucks. I am not sure I would give them any more business if that is how they handle things.

For starters ... get a service manual because you don't want to be running to the dealer for each and every small thing. I say this because if your problem is just a bit of debris, you may pick up a bit of debris on your way back from the dealer!

For reference/help ... I have an 09 RK Police. Adjust the **** under the throttle to loosen or tighten the return. You may have bumped it and tightened the return without realizing it.

If that's not it, changing or taking off the grips to remove a bit of debris is very, very easy with the service manual, and you won't be doing anything to affect the TBW which is inside the handlebar.

I just put on new grips, and if I can do so, anyone can!

Good luck!

Had the same problem, and needed the same solution. The right grip should slide just a tad.

Is it possible that the star shaped screw on the bottom of the switch housing is screwed in? If the bike isn't equipped with electronic cruise control it has a manual throttle lock on it...No special skill required to loosen the throttle lock.
