It's really not hard just take time and patience take some pics of wiring other then that it's all plug ins can't really go wrong with that.Radio stays on the bike just gauges come off with inner and helping hands even a kid will definitely very helpful. I've done 3of em and just getting ready on my 4th in couple days.08 or later it's even easier cause TBW .
If you take your time, follow the service manual and take pictures to show where everything was prior to and during disassembly it is a fairly easy job. When I did mine it was the first one I ever did and had the inner fairing off in about 1 1/2 hours. Putting together was about 3 hours mainly because I was extra careful so I didn't scratch the new paint.
an easy job. I did my 04 EG and it took maybe 3 or 4 hours start to finish. I bought a inner fairing and had it painted by "mikeshawgpaint" and it was $100 painted and about $20 both ways shipping. It looked incredible. I had it painted in a marble effect and it turned out looking like freaking polished marble. The nice thing about doing it this way was everything was fresh in my mind how it came apart making it easy to go back together. I changed handlebars at the same time as well. www.mikeshawgpaint.com mine is the fairing shown in misc. The photos do not do it justice as it looks incredible in person.
