Default Need ideas for auxiliary plug placement

Just got finished installing hogtunes amp & speakers on my 2010 SG (awesome system, by the way). I have a Sony mp3 player and I know how I am going to mount that to my handlebars, but I want to find some way to hide the male to male connector, or at least make it look cleaner. I read a forum where someone removed their radio and did some modifications which involved soldering. I'm not wanting to take it that far, but I also don't want a cord draped across the front of my inner fairing either. I don't mind some of it being exposed to plug into the front auxiliary input, but I would like it to at least look clean. Any ideas (with pics preferably) would be greatly appreciated.

I just did the mod to add the aux jack on the back of the radio. I was nervous at first but it was really simple to do. Works great! PM me if you want more info. Typing on my phone until Thursday. Out of town without laptop.

Thanks for the reply. I saw the directions on adding the rear auxiliary on cvoforums, but I just bought the bike two months ago and don't want to give HD any reason for voiding my warranty. I installed the Hogtunes knowing that if something ever goes wrong I have to remove everything and put it back stock. They flat out told me at the dealership that it will void the warranty.

I have read about a company (can't think of the name) that makes harnesses that add an auxiliary input and I may give them a call tomorrow. I was going to pull the radio back and squeeze the wire through and plug it in, but I think the cable would get pinched too tightly when I re-set the radio. If you know of a way to add an auxiliary that will allow me to erase the evidence, then I'm all ears!!!

IronCross Audio is where you need to send it and they will install an Aux in port in trhe back of the head unit.

I believe the "harness" you are referring to is done by Iron Cross. It's not a plug and play harness that can be removed as far as I know. I believe they do the exact same mod as I did. I used the directions on the CVO forum. Either way it would void the warranty on your stock radio. Try it yourself and if it doesn't work then send it to Iron Cross.

After much deliberation and research I am leaning toward sending it off to Iron Cross to have them add a rear aux port. Of course this will void my warranty. I know that HD will deny a warranty claim if something goes wrong with it, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with the modification.

Should I be concerned about the warranty? Are the HK radios pretty good? I know they cost almost a grand if something does go bad.

I mounted my mp3 on the left handlebar on a Barefoot ******* mount.
I used the Hogtunes cord they sell & ran it down the bars, through the
fairing & out the other side to the radio. It's hardly noticeable & isn't
running outside the fairing. This way you won't void your warranty,
which you're probably going to need.
