Default Speakers!!!! Need Ideas....

Hey Forum,

I just started putting together my stereo package. So far I have a deack (Sony DSX. S200 Deck and a Alpine PDX600/4 amp. I am lost when it comes to speakers. I would liketo go with the JL 5 1/4 components in the stock location of my 06 Road glide. I going to 6 1/2 speakers installed in the inner fairing as well. Should these be components also will I be breaking a cardinal rule if I don't use JL? (Damn things aren't cheap) And for the bags....Not sure if I'm going to go with 2 6x9's in each bag or 1. What are so good 6x9's. One thing for sure I get it alot cheaper ordering it myself than going threw the local shop. I've got 800 or so left in the budget....Thank you all in advance..

Infinity Kappa's 6 1/2s for the fairing add two tweeter, I'd pass on the components simply becuase it's a bike exposed to the elements-- you can get the adapters from throttle up industries for the 6 1/2s for the fairing--start out with 2 6x9s in the bags -- I like the two way Pioneer Pro Models (the best speakers ever were the pioneer yellow cones -- but they are $200 used on ebay) MB quartz, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine and Infinity Kappa in that order get the speakers from Best Buy keep the receipt you can take them back for any or no reason-- if you only do two 6x9s make sure you mount them close to the front of the bag--this is the best location you can always go back and do the other two -- componetp

For sure ! The Pioneers REALLY KICK.. Everyone thinks that I have subs in my bags !!

I was torn between the Boston Accoustic PRO SE 60's, and the Kappa's.

My ear liked the BA's a lot better, but my wallet didn't !!

It's not much more for the 4.150 Alpine amp, and it's quite a difference.

Keep us posted !! Love to see threads on "sound systems" !!
