Default Tripometer cable

Any way to get that out of the speedometer? A while back the nut came off of the fairing & I had a hard time finding one so I made one, it won't come loose now & thought if the cable comes out of the speedometer then I could mask that. The manual says to take off the knurled nut (which is the one I made & it won't come off). Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Got it, took a drill & drilled into the nut I made along the cable body & it split the nut. Now to find the correct one.

Found it, Bike Bandit has a listing, will go to the dealer. At least the dealer can get it quicker & not that much more, since BB has it shipped to them & then shipped to the customer. Although it is not like I don't have time, since I am going to paint my inner. I wish I was good at photoshop, I would do the design on there to make sure that I like it. Guess I will see if I can do it any justice.
