I agree with you. Just bought my first Harley a 2012 Ultra Limited and I feel very nervous about the forward movement and slop when the stand is down. Afraid someday I'll find my bike laying on the ground

If you’re that unsure of it, take it to a dealer and let them take a peek at it.

I was worried with my '09 Ultra Classic but it's been almost 2 years & it's just fine. I like to roll it all the way one way or the other depending on how the terrain is sloping as seeing the bike move is unnerving. But dont worry it wont fall over.

A damn good idea!

I realize this is an old thread but just want to say I agree that the Harley jiffy stand is solid and won’t allow the bike roll once parked. I now ride an indian and that sob will fold up in a heartbeat! I don’t like parking with the bike in gear and bought a lil parking brake thing for just that reason.

After reading a lot of post on here and raising my bike up to inspect how the jiffy stand works I realize that bit of forward movement is just the way it is. Just need to get use to it after having a Venture for 11 years.

Harley has the best kick (jiffy) stand bar none. It is steady enough to plow a field once it is locked down.

My former BMW side stand could not be overly trusted and neither do I put much faith in my goldwings side stand.
