I have a 2010 EG Classic and was looking at the Kuryakyn ISO grips. The styling is more to my liking than the HD versions I've seen, and from the video I saw they look easy enough to install even for those of us who are mechanically challenged.
Any thoughts on these pro or con, advice, or possibly other recommendations? Thanks!
I had Kuryakyn ISO grips on my last two Kawasaki cruisers and they were great. I don't think their's a grip out there that absorbs vibration better than the ISO's. I don't have them on my FLHT because I stuck with the H-D chrome/rubber glueless grips. I really like the looks of the Kuryakyn Transformer grips but don't know if I want to go the glue route again (clutch side only). But they're nice grips.... http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/9/IMID/3766
Pretty easy and straightforward to install, just take extra precaution with your brake light switch. They break reallly easy and it can turn a simple job into a PITA.
Really like mine. Recommend that even though your bike has a cruise control, you get the throttle boss on your grip. I plan on ordering one to put on mine.
+++1 on the throttle boss, it saves on wrist discomfort.
If you have to glue the LS grip on, don't use the black widow glue that is included, it will come loose in heavy rain. I like grip lock, others will say hairspray, etc.
I recently had the right side come apart ( two piece affair, inner shell and outer shell ), some grip lock fixed that too. Some drying time is required.
So, a couple of minor issues in the two years I have used them, but I really like the iso-grips - very comfortable.

Interesting you should say that. I was looking at the part # 6227 grips without the throttle boss because my bike has the electronic cruise control. Would there still be an advantage to having the throttle boss with the cruise control?
