Default Passing Lights Wiring Mod - Update

Good day guys.

Just thought I'd pass a little information on that I learned the first time I did this mod and then forgot until last night when I did it on my new scoot.

Follow the manual; but realize IF you do, you will have to purchase another HD tool which isn't needed if you follow this advice.

When removing the ignition/fork lock from the consol; keep your front wheel pointed just off "center", say 30 degress to the left. The manual says turn the front wheel all the way to the left and then continue with removing the ignition cyclinder.
If you follow this instuction you will NOT be able to get the inner switch cover and switches out.
You can take the cylinder out with the wheels pointed in any direction but if you follow the advice above - removing the screws and switch cover; although "trying" can be done. Leaving the front wheel at a reduced angle just makes seeing and depressing the locking pin a little more challenging but it isn't difficult.
On newer bikers; at least on mine, the accessory input battery wire is now orange with no red tracer. Terminal 4 as indicated on the wiring diagram is actually the lowest terminal, lowest meaning closest to the ground, on the switch.
I made the wiring mod without removing the entire assembly. Again, not that difficult. If you have somebody to hold the panel; I didn't, it would make it easier - but again no "big deal".

The entire job took me 3 hours due to my lack of rememberance!!!! If you follow my advice; you'll have the job done in an hour.

Cheers
G
