Sundowner passenger comfort

I've read this exact comment several times from several different forum members.I purchased a Sundowner for my '07 Ultra at the end of the 2010 riding season.Definitely more comfortable for me than the stock seat. My wife hasn't had a chance to try it out so I can't speak for her. What I can tell you is the passenger pillion on the Sundowner seat that fits '97-'07 Electraglides is 4" narrower than the stock Comfort Stitch Seat. Are the Sundowner seats for '08 and newer Eglides wider than stock?

Thank you gentlemen for your input. I'm sold. I'll be ordering one this week. Unfortunately I actually had to type the words thank you as I don't have a thank you button, quite an inconvenience I must say.

Wife loves ours, especially w/out tour pack, but w/ backrest. With the tourpack, she prefers my stock FLHT seat, says it puts her up a little higher is all. But, we've used the sundowner w/ the pack and ridden a lot of miles just fine. It really is a great seat, and I think they look good too.

+1 looks too bulky when riding solo. Takes away from the "cool factor"........better to have a sore *** than a pillow on the bike
I have the sundowner on my FatBob. Wife loves it can and she can ride till I get to sore. It does give me a slight different riding position. When I ride by myself i put my stock seat back on cause I sit lower and I dont care for the look of the sundowner when she's not on the back.
