Ok, I'm just about at the end of my wits here (didn't have much to start with.) I had my stock TC88A dyno'd twice, using the SERT for ECM mapping. Both times, the TQ and HP number were up there. However, I'm still getting engine pings at high RPM and when I jock the throttle quickly at high speed. I also use Premium gas all the time too. I'm stumped now, and could really use a good (or logical) explanation and/or suggestion.
I would ask those ECM and tuning experts to chime in please!
The higest settings are not always the most drivable, pinging is caused by to much timing advance, or to low of octane, retard the timing a few degrees and it should cure the problem.
I can tell you that the guy who dyno'd my bike was very competent and knew what he was doing. Gunrunner may have point about retarding the timing. But, I still believe there are other elements that may have not been considered, which could cause the pinging. In AZ, we use crappy gas mix to start with. But, with that said, others who have the same set up as mine may rebutt that theory.
Thanks for your input nonetheless.

Do yourself a favor and get your bike to a competent, SERT tuner. Shoulda/coulda, gone with a PCIII, too late now, ya got a SERT![:'(]
I agree with GR's feedback. A couple other things that can contribute to pinging are too much compression for the installed cams and poor squish setup. If, as you said, it's a relatively stock TC88 then those two should not be factors....
Did it ping before the SERT was installed?
If not..... my bet is too much timing advance...
A stock motor should be fine on Super Unleaded pump gas, no matter where you are.

It took 3 times to get mine right this last time the first time only one if it aint right take it back unitil it is Im sure you paid for it to be right they tried to blame my pipes this last time but I told them I will take it home and leave them alone when its right the tech told me they were rushing them and would not give him the dyno room long enough but they finaly gave in when I would not give in and now its right again if the tech is competent make them fix it.
