WOW. Your opinions are much appreciated and I too use the forum for helpful tips and ideas and I also try to help while I'm on here. I was not mocking, as much as I was trying to calm (in a comical manner) any "fears" that may have been instilled by others opinions and/or experiences. Please don't mistake quick witted, humorous comments as mockery. I tend to pick and cut up most of the day. Normally it makes people grin a little. Some don't grin ever, oh well.
I, from experience with his questioned W1 12 inch bars, see no operational problems.
And yes, I do like to be heard
PS
Thanks for all that Ya'll do

cool man! good luck on your mods. do you have a time frame that you will be doing the carlini's? i was looking at them for my 2004 road king custom, and want to hear from someone who has them. i am usually pretty rough on my bikes, so i wanna see if they are gonna take some of the abuse i will undoubtedly give them. lol! but, the 04 will not be near ready for handlebars until late summer 2011, at the earliest.

thanks man,
corb

i apologize for my abrasive nature, but your reply towards my advice with the thing and the other witty comments came off as mockery. i have several close friends, and we cut on each other all the time, but, we have known each other for upwards of 5 years, some as long as 25 years. and most of us have seen combat together, and have a bond of sorts, that takes years to compete with. so again, i apologize, as i do not take to meeting new folks very quickly, and am usually too busy to get to know anyone very well in less than 2-5 years. we also have a different way of talking to one another, and it is usually seen as derogatory if heard by others outside of our circle.

but, if you have put his kind of bars, on his kind of bike, then you are one up on me, as i have never owned a road glide, nor used those particular bars. but when i saw your comments aimed towards me, and that you didnt take into account the different model years, (throttle by wire/throttle cables) it looked like you were just the kind of guy that starts crap on forums, like a "keyboard tough guy". i am not too big of a man to admit that i might have been wrong in my rash judgment of you. again, i apologize.

i see from your pics that you are in NC. if you dont mind me asking, whereabouts are you? i am in hope mills, right out of ft bragg. if you are close, might see you on a ride sometime. (not until after march....)

ride safe, cause them soccer moms will run you over, i have been hit 3 times, all soccer moms (well, one soccer grandpa) ALL with cell phones....
corb

PS: thank you. without the support of those back home, what are we doing this for anyways?

yup, i do dig that. i have been doing that for a few years. with my 20's, it was almost a necessity, but, i noticed that bright lights behind me werent near as much of a pain in the ***, because i could lower my elbows, and i was good. but i did it on my 12's on my new build, and same results, works great, and cleans up the top of your scoot too. with the mirrors up, kinda looks like a bug's antennas! lol!

be good, or be good at it,
corb
