Default 103 stage 4

This may be a dumb question. But anybody with a 103 or say motorwork cams etc do you have more fun on it or enjoy riding it more than when it was stock? I really want to do a 103 stage 4. I just wanted to see what everyone else thinks I keep going back and forth mainly just because its a good chunk of change. Any input would be great I'd like to hear other peoples experiences with motor work. Thanks a lot

Ummm, yes, that's why we build them. I'd say if you're happy with your performance now leave it alone. If you find yourself wanting more speed, faster launches, etc. and can justify the money, go for it.

Keep your Harley stock. If you want to go fast buy a metric bike like a Yamaha V-Max. No matter how much money you put in your Harley moto there will always be a faster metric bike. You can buy a metric bike for what it will cost you to build your HD.

Not a dumb question, just one that gets asked all the time! Night and day difference as to how my bike ran stock and how it runs now. My enjoyment has increased significantly, but that's me. It all depends on many different things, riding style, roads ridden, time on the road.... the list goes on.
Had a guy pull next to me at a stoplight the other day and tell me I had a nice Road King (i ride a SG), he then went on to "Proclaim" very loud that his ride was a BAD BOY! Chirped his tire a bit and took off. When he caught up to me at a light a mile or so down the road I got to look at him deadpan and say "THAT boy ain't so bad".... priceless! One of the perks of building your motor.

Maybe he has one of those souped up BAD BOY lawnmowers.

I can't stand all this extra torque and HP. I wonder if I can put an 80ci in my '10? Kiddin with ya....I can't imagine anyone wanting to back to stock after doing an upgrade.

Thanks for the input guys it was what I wanted to hear. Its a fun bike now its just doesn't have that much sack off the line. Plus it would be a blast having motorwork and walking away from my buddies. Some people say its great some say your stupid if you do motor work on a harley I always was into it just never did any but I have all winter to get it done so I'm very tempted.

Don't tell your buddies you're doing anything. Let them figure it out when they hear your bike or when you twist the throttle and leave them like they're parked. If you're serious about dropping the coin, I'd look real hard at fuel moto's 107 kit before you go for the 103 but that's just my opinion.
