Went with the Chopped Tour Pak ... UPDATED WITH PICS
It's been a little over a month ago, I posted a thread on Tour Paks... "Which one for my Street Glide"? Although I tended to agree with the conventional wisdom of "if your gonna put a Tour Pak on a Street Glide, you might as well go with the King for the capacity". My issue was my local dealer had a Vivid Black Chopped Tour Pak sitting on display for months, and I always felt the Chopped TP looked best on the SG. So, the other night they had a sale... 20% off everything in stock. So, for about $580 I got a color matched Chopped Tour Pak. I couldn't resist!
So, my question... Can I put the "King" Tour Pak back rest (Street Glide Stitching) on the Chopped Tour Pak? Seems like I've seen them done that way around here? Next... can I put the Tour Pak speaker pods on the Chopped Tour Pak? Lastly... Whats the deal with that new Tour Pak lid cable? I had seen some "hoopla" about that new lid cable, but never read the thread.
I've done searches and read some threads, but none of them really answered my questions here. Can anyone tell me if they've did these "mods" to a Chopped Tour Pak.
Thanks!

I think you made the right choice! I remember that thread.
Far as I know the speaker pods will not fit on a chopped Pak. I know from experience that the backrest will, though. I helped a friend of mine put one on. Like Warhawk said, you just have to drill a little. Easy.
And before anyone else says it, because I never get a chance:
I am also installinga chopped tour pack, could someone post a pocture of the additional holes that have to be drilled. Right now I have the chopped tourpacpad on (6 holes).
Can I put the "King" Tour Pak back rest (Street Glide Stitching) on the Chopped Tour Pak?
Yes but you have to drill new holes and then what are you gonn do with the holes that don't work?
You bought the Chopped pak for looks, it looks best with the pad designed for it in my opinion though.
can I put the Tour Pak speaker pods on the Chopped Tour Pak?
Not the HD ones, but here are some made for the Chopped Pak. But it would have to be painted http://www.eglidegoodies.com/id348.html
I have a excellent condition, smooth, King Tour Pak backrest that does not have the stupid piece of vinyl hanging down below it. I call it the bib. Which would work good with a chopped tour pak.
