Default Brake pad question...............

Gonna replace the rear Wide WHite Wall, ( Dunlop 402 ), this week. Got 12K miles out of it !!

Would have liked to replace both with the HD engraved, but front tire only has a few thousand miles on it, due to a "wheel chock" incident , and I'm not gonna just 'give' tire mileage away.

While I have the rear wheel off, goona replace the rear brake pads. I can count on 2 hands , how many times I've put my foot on the rear brake pedal, so I know they are still like new, but..........................

I can't deal with the brake dust on the passenger side rear whitewall anymore.

What is the brake pad of choice, ( ceramic I'm assuming ), that everyone is using to avoid the brake dust, and..........where do I get them ??

Thanks in advance !

Many upgrade to Lyndall pads as a first choice. They are reported to have minimal brake dust creation, but lets face it pads wear and dust is created. I run Lyndall Z-Plus pads more for the braking qualities than for dust. I run blackwalls so dust is not on my list of major concerns.

The link above is to a chart for Lyndall pads. There are 2 HDF sponsors who carry the Lyndall pads at a fair price, Phat Performance Parts and Hogpro.

FWIW-I put Lyndall Gold on the front and they do not impress me as far as less dust goes, maybe more dust if anything. Do they stop better? Dunno, but overall I am happy with them. They work...

I use Lyndall's but don't notice any less dust than HD pads.

Having faced the same issue with dust on WWW's, I switched the rear pads to Lyndall Z's. The difference, for me, was pretty amazing. You're still needing to clean 'em regularly, but there is a lot less dust.
