I posted a thread a while ago asking about fairing lowers, so now I'm getting back to looking for a set and realize I didn't specify that I want a set for my '08 FLTR. There are plenty available for electra glides and streetglides, but not so for road glides.
Has anyone bought aftermarket lowers for their fltr? I just got back from the stealer, they want $850 for the set plus another $500 for the glove boxs. There's got to be a better way.
If you get the 2010 main fairing brackets that lift the back a little, for your Road Glide you can mount the vented lowers from any Ultra Classic.Otherwise your lowers choices are limited.

Ok, just so I understand. The 2010 bracket raises the back of the fairing. But its still sitting on the front mount.do it must be tilted a bit? If so the headlight will need to be aligned and it will change the angle of the windshield. I wouldn't want to effect the aero dynamics of it. I'm happy with the way it is. I'm worried about screwing it up.
