Default clutch issues

Last night I did a toy run for a local charity drive and after running bike in the Christmas parade I noticed that the clutch lever is releasing at almost fully out in first gear.It feels like I am trying to take off in 2nd gear. While riding in gear if I try to accelerate in any gear the bike revs up and acts like I am holding the clutch lever in. I need suggestions on what it could be. I have a 2008 ultra classic with 28,000 miles on it. The comp sprocket was just replaced in beginning of the summer by the dealer. I am hoping that it just needs to be adjusted. I do not know if the cold temps affected it or not but it was up to temp before we rode. please help.

Would definitely start with adjustment and hopefully that solves the issue ..

How was the clutch reacting after it cooled down completely. Sounds like the clutch overheated from lots of "Parade" stop and go traveling.

well after it cooled the clutch lever seemed to grab a little earlier. The warmer it got the further out the lever engages.

Sounds like the clutch needs adjusting. The dealer may not have adjusted it following the compensator work. Start with adjusting which is fairly easy to do and then see if the problem is solved.

Same thing happened to me. I made the adjustment & it's fine. Follow the clutch cable down to the rubber boot. Peel back the boot & make your adjustment. Hope that is it.

Had a similar experience. After cool down all was well.
