Is there a sticky or something on the site that lists the special tools required to do all the inner primary work? My Clymer doesnt have the tools, but the procedure looks pretty straight forward.
Well, depends on year, model, and what you want to do.
Hey Arnold . . . do us all a favor and PLEASE take the time to fill out your profile and your signature. For one, it might help to know where you're from. There might be a guy in your area with all the tools you need. We can't help if we don't know where you're from.
If you fill out a signature, we will all know what bike you have. This will help us help you. Come on man . . . give us a little so we can give you a little. LOL
Most of the tools can be made yourself. And not to give you ****, but the HD manual will blow the doors off Clymer's
Second that - get the HD service manual for your scoot so you can review the job & see what tools are required. Best $60 I've spent on the bike to date, or any scoot.
Try checking out You Tube. There are plenty of vids to watch about removing and repair of inner and outer primary and shows what tools they used. Don't really need anything special except large socket and breaker bar and something to hold the sprockets from turing and a few other hand tools.
Not sure how far you are going but I mention and show the tools I needed for going into my primary in my album on primary chain alignment. Made some but they are cheap enough on e-bay.

Okay okay! I filled out the profile and added some pics of my last project. I took the plunge last spring and bought a 2001 Road King. The reason I ask is the inner primary seal is leaking a little. Definitely not the tranny or engine. I'd like to replace all of them and check the inner bearing and such. Never thought of youtube. Thanks for the tips so far!
