I made a locking tool believe it or not out of a piece of wood. Traced the clutch bolt pattern, drilled holes in the wood, bolted the wood which I made long enough to lock on the ground which allowed me to remove the comp bolt. Worked great.

Okay okay! I filled out the profile and added some pics of my last project. I took the plunge last spring and bought a 2001 Road King. The reason I ask is the inner primary seal is leaking a little. Definitely not the tranny or engine. I'd like to replace all of them and check the inner bearing and such. Never thought of youtube. Thanks for the tips so far!
Once you get the HD manual, you'll see that it's not a very difficult project. The correct tools will make it much easier.
Have you thought about a chrome inner primary cover? If you buy one, it comes with the bearing and seal installed. All you'd need ot buy then is the inner race. Just a thought in case money isn't an issue and you like chrome.
One other thing to check I have an 01 RK also and thought my inner primary was leaking I changed the seals put it back together still had a leak turned out the leak was coming from the stator wire hole A little sylicone problem solved sure wish I had looked a little closer before I tore it apart....
