The 3M tape that you are using, is it the same tape that is used for attaching automotive trim? I have a roll from years ago and was just wondering if I should try it or just bite the bullet and buy new. Where did you get your tape?

its #4611 ...in 1" width and 45 mils thick...i used it to stick the sides on enclosed trailers...had some left over...bet yours would work...test it and see.....i put mine two strips thick to insulate from vibration
Jerry, Not yet. I am going on vacation to VA Bch next week. Painter will have all parts ready (re shadowing the stripes and re-clearing everything. Then wet sand and buff) for me when I return. Then he goes on "vacation" so he can finish his custom.
