Does anybody know the difference between the 53051-09 and the newer 52000003 model of the seat? All I see is that the newer model fits 09 and newer and the older model fits 08 and newer.
Cigarcritic, I'm looking for a new seat because mine hurts me on long rides. I've read about the zeppelin seat, but people say that it raises you up about 1-2 inches. How does the hammock seat ride? Does it raise you up or is it more like the stock seat for height and width. Is it comfortable for the long rides?

I've own many seats and the hammock is the most comforable to date.
The "new" hammock (Model: 52000003) is a lot wider that a stock seat but you only feel that when your legs are down when you stop. You do adjust. It raises me a good inch over my FLTRX (Road Glide Custom) stock seat.

I concur with Cigar, I have the earlier version, picked it up for $200.00. passenger does not have the suspension but the wife loves the seat as is. thats compared to my stock seat being rebuilt with double memory foam. The passenger portion is wide and my wife says thats what makes it comfortable, it sets me up about 1.5" higher than stock seat. it also knocks about 2 points off the cool factor, so when I ride two up its the hammock, and the tour pak, when shes not on the bike its a Danny Gray solo.
