It takes me 2 seconds to remove the unit. Pull out the wire and pop it out of the cradle. It works good for me, cause I don't use it that often on the bike.

I've had a 550 Zumo for 3 yrs.Other than downloading map upgrades which can be a little exasperating it's worked without a hitch.I pair it up to a Scala ll bluetooth head set and never have to look at the screen while cruising.It's been an invaluable tool for me account I can get lost in a parking lot.

or the Zumo 660 which is the updated newer version of the 550 - But I have read some are disappointed in the newer model - check here on this thread within this forum... it is lengthy

The car mount on the 550 Zumo has a built in speaker that works real well,although you could pair it up to a blue tooth headset if you wanted.

I too have the Zumo 550, only issue is glare, but you will prob. get that with any unit. My advise is one that is water proof/shock resistant. The 550 and a few others out there are. Ebay is a good place to look.
