As far as brands, I've had good luck with Garmin. Any GPS can be mounted nicely on your bike several different ways.

I've used a regular (non motorcycle) GPS for years through 100+ temps and some rain with no issues (behind a windshield). I don't need to hear the voice or have it play mp3's. In heavy rain, I just either cover it with a baggy or remove it from the velcro plate and put in my pocket. If you don't want to do that, then you can go with a waterproof one, but they're much more expensive - to me, that's not worth paying twice as much or more - but everyone has different priorities.

Many options out there, but again, I like the Garmin products and have had good experiences with them.

I've had a Zumo 550 ever since they came out. Used it on several different bikes and in my truck. As long as it keeps on working there's nothing on the market that would justify me replacing it. If your budget allows I'd strongly consider the 550 or 660. They're not cheap but they are designed to live in the vibration/weather environment of a motorcycle.

I bought a Tom Tom Ryder II two years ago and love it. It's made for motorcycles, is waterproof and shock resistant, Comes with a good handlebar mount. It also has the bluetooth speakers and mike for your helmet to interface with your cell phone. much less expensive then most garmins.

I love the color combination on your bike. They reversed in 11 and it's not nearly as sharp to me.

I use TomTom 930 myself.. it has audio out that plugs into the aux in and works well on my limited. The touch screen works well with gauntlet gloves even
