My bike is Redhot Sunglo. I think the gloss paint on the inner fairing creates a lot of blinding reflections when the sun hits it. I was thinking of going with Redhot Denim for the inner. Does anyone know if this has been done?
Get it done and don't be afraid to do something different, make her stand out. I had all the bezels painted gloss black, paint matched the fairing and pinstriped like the rest of my bike. I also had the air dam and cow bells painted.
Thinking of doing this myself. I dont know what it is, I have rebuilt both car and motorcycle engines ( dirt ). But when it comes to working on my HD I haven't figured out if I'm to lazy or afraid to work on it. I know it is just a machine but all I have done so far is change the fluids, everything else I have paid someone else to do. This job seems like it would be a pain but I could take a road trip with the funds I would save by doing this myself. I guess its time to back the ole lady's car out of the garage to give me some work space.

I have the same bike and was worried about the same thing. Hopefully someone here had it done and can let us know how they like it!
Do it! Best $100 I've spent (took mine off and had it painted) that created the biggest change. Besides it's the one part of your bike you're looking at ALL the time. :-)

My inner matches my bike's candy red sunglo and whatever reflection there is is nowhere close to being blinding! Shiny, yes, compared to the matte OEM finish but not close to posing a problem with reflections. HD would not be selling painted inner fairings if there was a safety issue with blinding reflections. If you ever washed your bike or looked at it in bright sun, have you ever been blinded by a refelction?
The question of reflections comes up from time to time and the answer is always the same: not a problem.
