Did some Christmas shopping today at Latus Motors in Portland, OR. They have a 2011 FLTRUSE right up front. What a beautiful bike with all the bells and whistles a person would ever want.
Got to comparing the windshield with the FLTRU windshield. The SE unit looks to be about twice as thick and just about the same height. It's a really nice looking windshield.
Went to the parts desk and checked on the price - $305.
I probably won't be buying one at that price or even from Lakeshore at 20% off. I'll keep my eyes open on Ebay and maybe I'll get lucky.

I just got one for my RGU via Zanotti's for $195 and even tho that sounds high it is a nice shield and looks way better without the molding. It was 240 thru lshd1.
How does this windshield do at controlling the buffeting? Do you have a part number? Got my fairing lowers from Zanotti's, couldn't beat the price and the service.
part # is 57744-11. The fit is very nice and looks much cleaner then the stock RGU shield. It is slightly shorter with slightly different shape but close. It is supposed to have been wind tunnel designed. I know I like it better.

I was buying tires from George Latus back in the 70's when he had a little shop (missoula,mt) where he bought wrecked bikes(japanese bikes) and put them back together. He tried to get a Honda or Yamaha dealership but they would not give him the dealerships. He wanted any dealership but Harley but at that time Harley was the only one he could get (in Spokane) and the rest is history as he definetly has done well for himself. Next time your in the store if George is there ask him if he is glad Honda turned him down LOL.

I saw him today. He was dressed up as Santa. They were taking free pictures with the kids sitting on a red Road Glide in front of a winter backdrop. I've talked with George and he seems like a real nice guy. Yes, he has done well. His store is one of the nicest I've seen in all the western states.
