FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTION
The fuel gauge on my o6 ultra has gone south and reads over half full when it has about half a gallon left. It used to work fine.My bud has an06 RK and it puked the fuel gauge the first day he had it and has gone through every one they have put in. Any ideas whow to fix mine,has anyone else had this problem.By the way the Volt Reg went out but the gauge didn't work before that either

I read an article in American Iron Mag about the fuel guage problem, it has to do with the sensor in the tank, I think it's in the July or August issue. The float in the tank gets caught on a cable or something, can't quite remember. Maybe somebody else here knows.

I don't know what to tell you, mine has actually worked since the day I bought it. Mine works like all fuel gauges, moves slowly to the 1/2 way mark and then goes fast to the red warning area.

MY fuel gauge is also kaput, had it so called fixed once by the stealer, but hasn't worked correctly since. 2006 road glide. It could be a common problem few complain about/ time will tell.[:'(]

I only glance at my gauge occcasionally. I use my trip meters religously. Trip A gets reset at each fuel stop/fill up. Trip B Gets reset when I pull out of the garage for total trip mileage. I fill up when trip A reads 180 miles ...usually taking 3.8 to 4.3 gallons.
