I have a '10 CVO Streetglide. The hydraulic shock is great. A good choice, but not cheap.

Get the Progressive 940 , they are a 12" shock with a 13" stance . Or ride as they say it , But they will run you about $480 not bad if you think about it?

Why? I have a set and they ride like crap just like the 12". The '08 shocks have the nice cushy ride that Electra Glides used to have before the frame change...

Indeed. I rode a CVO Street Glide and those shocks are very nice.

54565-09 rear shock absorbers, this is for 13" ultra type shock for '09 & newer. If you buy used ones, make sure they plugged them when they removed them so as to not lose any oil.

Is that for the SE shock? I think that is what he was asking about.

I agree with this & it gives you more clearance when cornering

newrochd, the longer front shocks won't push you forward at all. the frame on all touring harleys of a given year are the same. streetglides and the newer roadglides all use the shorter shocks. the electraglide standard, classic, and ultra classic still use the full length shocks which is what i did with my streetglide and the increased rear suspension helped a lot. i no longer cringe when approaching a big dip, bump, or railroad tracks. it just glides over that stuff now rather than riding so harsh.
