I nearly always mount from the left for the traffic reason, as we drive on the left her in Oz. Probably 90/10 on the left.

I mount from the left side from force of habit, but find that mounting from right side is actually easier

I got into the habit of mounting from the right after I had knee surgery on the left leg but will dismount from both sides. Wife gets on from the left side after she taps me on the shoulder that way there are no surprizes when she starts to get on.

Right side; allways though it was because I'm left handed. Just feels easier that way.

Motorcops, me included, mount from the right. But I did it long before I was a motorcop, just seemed easier to me I guess.

Dismounted on the right once while parked on a not so level parking lot and when I dragged my leg across the seat (53 and joints don't work like they used to) it pulled her over. I caught her in time to keep it off the ground, but just about got a hernia in the process. Thought I got lucky, but noticed later that my right arm had dented the tank. Would not pop out and shouldn't be repaired, so had to order new tank from the dealer at a cost of $550 and a 6 week delivery time. Silver lining though-spent and extra $100 and got an Ultra Classic tank with a badge on it instead of the standard decal. Nice upgrade and looks sweet!

I get on using the right side and dismount on the left side. Don't know why, but it sure seems easier to get on the right side. I am 6'1. My dad is 6'4 and he does the same thing.
