I know everybdoy has their own way of doing things but am finding it's easier for me to mount my FLHTK from the right and use the floorboard so I don't scuff everything up. How many of you use the right side to mount your bagger?
90-95% from the left & 5-10% from the right. Used to ride horses on trails & it's handy at times being able to get on from the right side. I've noticed the same thing on my scoot as well, especially when someone parks too close to the left side.
I just had this conversation with a buddy. He gets on from the right, however I only get on from the left, and I told him girls get on from the right, just like a passenger in the car. Serious though, i am only 5'6" and it is very hard to get on from the right. He is over 6 feet tall and finds it easier to mount from the right.

Reason: spelling
I mount from the right side. Wife gets on back from the left side after I'm on and holding it up. More comfortable for both us this way, since it doesn't hurt the bones so much as going the other way.
I mount my ride from the right side,it not only is away from traffic but also comes natural to me.If you're the shorter type(vertically challenged) just get on the right foot board lean towards the left grip and grab it to assist you.
