Hello & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

I have a small question and need imput.

Do you shut your engine down by using the switch at your thumb? or do you use the larger on/off where the key is inserted. Ultra Classic 08. I was told by two different dealers that there was a proper way and it made a difference in the life span of said switch

Thanks

Like everything else electrical... turn it off in the the opposite direction as turning it on.
1. - Push the thumb switch to the "off" position.
2. - Turn the ignition switch to the "off" position

Kill switch, but you have to remember to turn your key switch off too or you will leave your light's on. (Dead Battery)

It depends on what I'm doing. If i'm just killing the motor for a few min and not getting off the bike I use the kill switch.

If I'm leaving the bike I shut it down with the main switch.
