i am really interested in lowering the fairing on my '04 roady (ie roadglide)........... i would like to lower it about 2 inches, i think. LOL, anyone have any ideas or suggestions they would be much appreciated...
You would have to do something with the three mounting locations. The frame extension holds the inner fairing. Redrilling holes in the inner fairing for this point may be easy enough. You would still have to do something with the mounts on the engine guard. I don't think that lowering the whole engine guard would be an option. You may have to make your own fairing mounts for that.
I'm not sure why you would want to do this though. You might get the same effect if you just put a shorter windshield on the fairing. A little more thought on it; you might have clearance problems with your fender on hard bumps.

your fairing is already lowered, and you didn't even have to do anything. in 2010, hd raised the fairing up 1 inch, and tilted slightly forward (2* if i recall). so no action necessary.
