Default Positive or Negative?

Does anyone know Fer Sure which is which. Reason is I'm putting Lizard lights on and was just going to make the battery tender the connection. I know I can trace it back but hey I.m lazy.

The covered terminal would be the Positive.

The covered terminal should (depends on IQ of the installer) be the positive. Your test light will prove it.

Not guaranteed! If it is NOT OEM, it could be either way. Agreed that the covered SHOULD be positive, but the only way to be certain is to test it.

I assume the picture is of the battery hook-up. If so the female is positive It will of course be the ground if it is the charger hook-up

it's time to get a test light. that's the only way to be sure. if it's a pigtail that's already installed on your bike from the dealership, then yes, the protected lead will be the positive lead because if it were the bare lead, if it touched any metal on your bike, it'd knock out a fuse or arc itself to death. either way, it's time to invest in a test light before you start any electrical work you're not sure of.
