Default pROBLEM W/ NEW APES!

i just put a new set of 18inch hill c custom bars on my 10sg
when i ordered them i requested the new bushings for the risers

well when i got my bars in i just put everything together cause i was pumped to get them on

well after it was all said and done i realized they didnt ship my new bushings with my bars so i had them send them and they told me i definately needed them. my bars(w/ factory bushings) moved very little

so i got the new bushings today and installed them
drag specialties part #ds-290573 & ill be they shake twice as much as the factory ones did

does anyone know o someone that sells stainless steel bushings?
i had an old yamaha that 16inch bars w/ 6inch risers and i had a buddy machine some stainless steel ones

any help is appreciated

I did the same thing you did. Hill country sent mine but I didnt put them on. Call it lazy, forgetful or whatever, but my bars are solid. If they start moving ill throw the new ones on i guess but I would say that they are def not necessary

i know what u mean, the only reason i changed them was cause they told me i would hit my brakes and they would move

and i have a painted inner fairing that i dont want the bars to hit

Go to your nearest HD dealer and get some polyuathain (spelling) bushings. They will cut down on the movement alot. They are a must for apes.

Get the Alloy Art Gooden tite. I have never had this kind of issue with these.

+1 on the Alloy Art Gooden tite. My bars are rock solid. Did you torque the bolts thru the bushings to spec?
