If you have the correct gauge, maybe just hard to see?
Just went from Dyna to a RG. I hate the silver versus the black gauges. My 10's 6th gear light is nearly impossible to see in daylight. I can't see the gauges at all including road speed at dawn and dusk because the yellow backlight washes the numbers out until it gets dark enough. I have to just go by needle position.
I'm not sure what year they are off. I bought them used for $100. They plugged in and work right......I didn't even notice the lack of a 6th gear light until today. I took a ride around for a few minutes and got into 6th gear at as low rpm...didn't see the light. I didn't think much about it but when I looked at the gauges I couldn't see the indicator...not even with a flashlight.
I thought the 06 and 07 gauges where different in the harness?
