6th gear indicator light not working

6th gear indicator light not working
Never thought much about it 'til mine wasn't working today. Usually stay in 5th unless I'm over 70 or 75 but today I thought I was in 6th and the light wasn't on. So I kept upshifting and thought maybe it wasn't shifting to 6th. When I finally got off the freeway and downshifted I had been in 6th and the light wasn't working which is better than the gear not working. Realized I kinda like the light. Anybody had their light go out? How'd you fix it?

yea if you installed an aftermarket tuner that is probably it. other than that it would likely be the 6th gear switch. haven't looked in to it but will keep an eye on the post to see what happens. good luck

As a matter of fact, I had a PCIII put in a couple months ago. What can be done to fix it?

I know that on my Thundermax there is a setting in the map that can be adjusted to make the 6th gear lite start working again. Not so sure about the PCIII, but I know there is a thread realting to this problem somewhere here in the forums. I'll see if I can't find it.
