Default I hate brake light switches!

So this is the 3rd time ive pulled this little stunt in probably the last 8 years. Just got done installing apes on my FLHRCI and was sitting on the bike admiring my handy work. Making some final adjustments on the position of the levers and went to pull in the front brake and CRACK!!!! I knew as soon as i did it what happened. Snapped off the little button on the brake light switch in the master cylinder! This is the second time ive done this on this bike. Did the same thing back in 06 when I put RK high bars on it. Did it once on an old sportster back in 93. You would think one would learn when installing the switch housing to make sure the switch is depressed before you tighten it all up. Its no huge deal.....new switch is $13....why cant they make em out of titanium?

you have manual?

manual describes how to use a shim to protect the switch.

that manual will pay for itself quick!

Hahaha, when's the last time you purchased one for $13? You can fix it with a set screw for about a buck.
