Ultra Limited CAT is gone
First a disclaimer. I know that Fuel Moto also has a cat-less head pipe and that they are a forum sponsor. And I've gotten some great support from Jamie, even though I'm not a customer. I went with the Fullsac for two reasons. First, it was a black pipe going onto a blacked-out bike. Maybe I'm too picky, but I didn't like seeing even the small amount of silver on the stock exhaust that you could see around the heat shield. But the biggest reason was that I use TTS MasterTune and Fuel Moto is a PowerCommander shop (I have a 2-bike TTS because my other bike needed a feature of TTS that PowerCommander couldn't support). Since Fullsac is a MasterTune shop, it seemed like a better fit. Anyway, bottom line is that Jamie is a great guy and I know a lot of people have put his pipe on their Limiteds and been really happy.
Anyway, back to the story. I put the Fullsac header on, programmed the TTS with the map that Steve at Fullsac provided (he had a dyno-tuned map for my exact setup). Man, the difference blew me away. Much more power, crisp throttle response, and a much improved exhaust note. It's maybe slightly louder at idle and cruise, but deeper and throatier, and it really barks when you jump on it, and that's exactly what I wanted (I use my other bike when I want to set off car alarms).
I did actually have the pipe on for a couple of days before I programmed the TTS, and I can tell you that the new map is a huge part of this, so if you go the other route of cutting the cat out of the stock pipe, I think you'd definitely want a tune after that.
The main reason I made the switch was heat, and since it was 30 degrees here on my test ride, I can't really say if the heat problem is gone (though I can't imagine it isn't).
My intake/exhaust setup is SE Ventilator AC, Fullsac X-Pipe "A", and SE Street Performance slip-ons, with TTS Mastetune (everything else is stock).
So bottom line for me is that the difference is unbelievable. You'd be crazy to spend all that money on the 103 and NOT open it up (between the heat, the power loss, and the "Goldwing" exhaust note of the stock setup). Just my $0.02.
