hmmm...well when kdietz & i removed his rear wheel on his ultra...we just aired up the draggin baggers and never took the mufflers off [8D]....we just made a mark on the cam on both sides, no tool needed...no belt adjustment tool either...a belt is within spec if you grab it in the center on the bottom and can twist it about 1/2 inch each way...yall try too hard
Since this is somewhat run its course, does anyone know if that cam exists on softies as well?
There is not a cam system on the Softails, but the proceedure is very simple. There is a write up that I did on making the alignment tool and and doing the alignment on a Softail in the DIY section. If you run into trouble, I would be happy to help you with it.
